Intro to me :)

Hey everyone, and welcome to my fabulous blog. Today is the posting of my first blog on here, so that I can talk to you all about a topic I enjoy so much :)) You may be wondering to yourself, why has this person decided to create a blog, specifically surrounding TikTok and its niche trends. Well... I do admit that I am someone who spends wayyy too much of my time on TikTok. If you don't believe me, check my screen time app, and you might be re-assured but also a bit disappointed at the horrifically high amount of hours blindly spent watching my screen 😂.

The thing is, I enjoy being inspired by the fast coming and going niche fashion trends that grow in popularity specifically on the social media platform TikTok. I believe that TikTok really has changed the game in terms of the ways in which young audiences are consuming media and fashion trends. I would have to say that I am definitely knowledgeable in the type of trends and styles that have grown on TikTok since it first shot into fame in late 2018. Particular aesthetics and styles that I cannot wait to delve into and discover with all of you include... cottage-core, dark academia, e-girl, alt, indie, soft girl and many, many more!!

The sheer amount of time I spend solely on this platform on a daily basis has pushed my passion for this topic and I think this is what is gonna make my blog stand out to those who enjoy blogs surrounding fashion and emerging trends, or audiences who also spend lots of time on the platform. As well as discussing the trends that are apparent on the app, past and present, through my studies as an Internet Communications student at university, I have also discovered my passion towards learning about how social media has impacted fashion and other aspects of our daily lives in ways we would not expect. This idea will also be covered throughout my blog, as I think it is interesting to uncover the ways in which new platforms can transform a whole generations way of thinking and living.
